These iconic DSS-N chairs are from the first Vitra production. Designed by Charles & Ray Eames in the 1950s and manufactured by the Swiss Fehlbaum family (later Vitra) for Herman Miller in the 1970s.
The molded shells are made of fiberglass in a striking orange typical of the era. The chairs are mounted on a sturdy, black metal frame specially designed for space-saving stacking and easy storage.
