Product description
Minimalist grandeur are these Mid - Century chairs designed by renowned Dutch designer Friso Kramer (Amsterdam, 1922) for Auping, a Dutch company with a long history of innovative furniture and high-quality materials.
A beautiful design and a remarkable example of Mid - Century modern furniture, with a one-piece seat made of Teak plywood. The anatomical, curved shape is not only beautiful, but also offers ergonomic support and a comfortable sitting position. The sturdy base is made of a gray tubular frame with slim legs. Both chairs have a sticker with the number '163'.
This chair was designed as part of Friso Kramer's 'Euroika' series for Auping and for this series he also designed a bed, table, mirror and cabinets. The chairs embody Kramer's minimalist ethos, focusing on clean lines, simple forms and practical functionality. The design avoids unnecessary embellishments and emphasizes the beauty of the materials and the efficiency of the structure.
Kramer's work (also known for the iconic "Revolt" chair he designed for Ahrend in the 1950s) has had a lasting impact on modern design, influences contemporary designers and remains relevant in today's design landscape. These chairs are recognized not only for their aesthetic qualities, but also for their innovative approach to industrial design, combining form and function in an elegant and sustainable way.
With its timeless, minimalist style, these chairs are a great addition to your dining room, living room, bedroom or office and will fit into almost any contemporary and vintage inspired interior.
